Tax Assistant Manager

Overview:

Our client is a leading multinational organisation with extensive business operations in Singapore. They are seeking an experienced Finance Manager with strong tax expertise to oversee tax compliance and advisory matters across multiple Singapore entities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee tax compliance matters across multiple Singapore entities, covering corporate income tax, GST, transfer pricing, Pillar Two and withholding tax.

• Review monthly tax accruals, tax computations and statutory submissions, including Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI) and corporate income tax returns (Form C / Form C-S).

• Ensure all tax filings, computations and supporting documents are accurate and submitted within statutory deadlines.

• Review transfer pricing compliance and ensure proper documentation is maintained.

• Review and oversee GST returns to ensure accuracy and timely submission.

• Manage GST registration, deregistration and related regulatory compliance matters.

• Monitor compliance with existing tax incentives and ensure all relevant supporting documents are maintained.

• Support applications for new tax incentives and manage the cancellation or withdrawal of existing incentives where required.

• Evaluate new business activities, transactions and operational changes to identify potential tax implications and exposures.

• Provide practical tax advice and guidance to the accounting team, business units and management.

• Strengthen internal tax processes, controls and procedures to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.

• Work closely with the accounting team on tax computations, documentation and statutory requirements.

• Provide guidance and training to the local accounting team on tax compliance matters and regulatory updates.

• Support tax-related projects and other ad-hoc assignments as required.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Taxation or a related discipline.

• At least 8 years of relevant tax experience, with strong hands-on knowledge of Singapore corporate income tax, GST and transfer pricing.

• Candidates with prior experience in an audit firm or tax advisory environment is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of Singapore tax regulations, statutory filing requirements and compliance practices.

• Experience in reviewing tax computations and managing tax compliance across multiple entities.

• Familiarity with Pillar Two and tax incentives will be an added advantage.

• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.

• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet statutory deadlines.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders.
