As a Chef de Partie, you will play an important role in maintaining the quality, consistency, and standards of Willow’s kitchen operations. You will be responsible for overseeing your assigned section, preparing and executing dishes to the restaurant’s standards, maintaining excellent food quality and presentation, and ensuring that kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently.

What you’ll do

• Oversee the daily operations of your assigned kitchen section, ensuring all dishes are prepared and executed to Willow’s standards

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes consistently in accordance with the restaurant’s recipes, specifications, and presentation standards

• Ensure all mise en place is prepared, organised, and ready ahead of service

• Maintain consistency in food quality, flavour, portioning, and presentation throughout service

• Work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen team members to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations

• Monitor food stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements to the relevant team members

• Ensure all ingredients are handled, stored, and prepared correctly to maintain freshness and quality

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety across your assigned section

• Ensure proper stock rotation, labelling, and storage procedures are followed at all times

• Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing deliveries in accordance with the restaurant’s quality standards

• Minimise food wastage through proper preparation, portion control, and efficient use of ingredients

• Support the development and execution of seasonal menus, new dishes, and special menus when required

• Guide and support Commis Chefs and junior kitchen team members, ensuring they follow the correct techniques and kitchen procedures

• Maintain a clean, organised, and well-equipped workstation before, during, and after service

• Assist with kitchen opening and closing procedures, inventory checks, and other operational duties when required

• Uphold Willow’s standards of culinary excellence, professionalism, teamwork, and discipline at all times

Who we’re looking for

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a fine dining restaurant, hotel, or quality-driven kitchen environment is preferred

• A strong foundation in culinary techniques, food preparation, and cooking methods

• A genuine passion for food, ingredients, and delivering exceptional dining experiences

• Good knowledge of food hygiene, safety standards, and proper food handling procedures

• Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to consistency in taste, quality, and presentation

• Able to manage an assigned section independently while maintaining high standards during service

• Organised, disciplined, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment

• A reliable team player with good communication skills and a collaborative approach to kitchen operations

• Willingness to guide and support junior team members and contribute to a positive kitchen culture

• Someone who takes ownership and pride in their work, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability
