Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Perform venepuncture and blood collection for patients in a safe and professional manner.
- Ensure proper patient identification, specimen labelling and handling.
- Prepare and process blood specimens for laboratory collection.
- Maintain proper infection control, hygiene and safety standards.
- Ensure phlebotomy equipment and supplies are adequately stocked.
- Provide a comfortable and positive experience for patients during blood collection.
- Assist with other clinical duties as required.
Job Requirements
- Relevant certification or training in phlebotomy.
- Prior experience in blood collection, preferably in a clinic or healthcare setting.
- Proficient in venepuncture with the ability to perform blood collection independently.
- Familiar with infection control procedures and specimen handling requirements.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, meticulous and service-oriented
- Able to work on an ad-hoc basis, including weekdays and/or weekends.
