Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Direct project planning and monitor construction progress against agreed milestones.
Coordinate technical discussions and resolve issues with consultants, subcontractors and authorities.
Lead project meetings and maintain effective communication with internal departments.
Review site performance and implement actions to improve productivity and workmanship.
Monitor project expenditure and act early on potential cost overruns.
Plan procurement and deployment of equipment and other project resources.
Establish workable procedures for critical construction activities.
Conduct joint site reviews to identify poor work practices and safety concerns.
Guide and develop project personnel and clarify responsibilities within the team.
Maintain working relationships with stakeholders and escalate decisions affecting delivery.
Undertake other project-management responsibilities assigned by management.

Job Requirements

Civil Engineering or construction-related degree.
Relevant main-contractor project-delivery experience; retrieved Straits PM-related adverts indicate at least eight years.
Familiarity with BIM and Office applications.
Strong leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder-coordination skills.
Ability to work independently and manage competing project priorities.
