Material Planner (Manufacturing) - VTAL

Our client is one of the leading players in the Contract Manufacturing sector. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Material Planner to be part of their team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the East (Company Transport Provided)

Responsibilities of Material Planner:

• Liaise closely with the Sales team to understand customer requirements and align material planning with sales demand.
• Generate and manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) schedules to ensure timely issuance of Purchase Requisitions (PRs).
• Plan, coordinate and monitor material availability, supply schedules and product deliveries to support production requirements.
• Work closely with cross-functional departments, including Sales, Production, Procurement and Warehouse, to ensure materials are available according to operational timelines.
• Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock availability while minimising excess and obsolete inventory.
• Track material shortages, delivery schedules and potential supply chain delays, and coordinate timely follow-up actions.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in material planning, material management or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
