Job Description
Head Car Mechanic
Working Days: Monday to Saturday :9am to 6pm
Working Location: Tampines
Starting Salary: $3200 - $4200 （depends on experience)
Technical and Repair Duties
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle issues.
- Perform servicing, maintenance, and repair works on various vehicle makes and models.
- Conduct engine, transmission, suspension, steering, braking, air-conditioning, and electrical system repairs.
Leadership and Team Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate daily workshop operations.
- Assign jobs and workloads to mechanics based on skill level and workshop priorities.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and support to workshop staff.
- Train and mentor junior mechanics
- Monitor employee performance and recommend improvements
- Assist management in evaluating workshop staff and identifying training needs.
Workshop Operations
- Support the Workshop Manager in achieving productivity and efficiency targets.
- Report equipment defects or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Assist in inventory monitoring and parts management.
- Coordinate with Parts Advisors and Service Advisors regarding repair requirements.
- Provide accurate technical information relating to vehicle conditions and repair requirements.
Requirement
- Minimum 5 years' experience for Head Car Mechanic position
- Able to diagnose Japanese, Continental and hybrid vehicles
- Able to supervise 3-8 mechanics
- Train junior mechanics
