Senior Software Developer — Java & AWS

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to design, build and support secure, scalable enterprise applications using Java and AWS. You will contribute to solution architecture, prototyping, system integration and delivery across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse business requirements and prepare technical designs and solution recommendations.
Develop application enhancements and production-ready solutions using Java, Spring Boot/Spring Batch and AngularJS.
Build proof-of-concept solutions to validate technical approaches.
Develop and support integrations with enterprise systems.
Optimise SQL queries and troubleshoot application performance issues.
Conduct code reviews, testing and defect resolution.
Support deployment, production troubleshooting and post-implementation activities.
Maintain technical documentation, deployment guides and operational support materials.
Collaborate with architects, developers and business stakeholders to deliver quality solutions within agreed timelines.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
At least 8 years of application development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, AngularJS and AWS.
Experience in application architecture, technical design and system integration.
Strong SQL development and query performance-tuning skills.
Experience delivering secure, scalable and maintainable applications.
Familiarity with Agile development, code reviews, testing and deployment practices.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and stakeholder-communication skills.
Ability to work independently, take ownership and collaborate effectively.

Added Advantage

Relevant AWS certifications.
Experience delivering POCs and application-modernisation initiatives.
