Vice President of Sales

Role Overview

CMC is seeking a commercially driven Vice President of Sales to lead growth in Singapore and develop strategic enterprise opportunities across selected APAC markets. The role focuses on winning new logos, expanding strategic accounts, and securing high-value IT services and outsourcing engagements with large corporates, government agencies, and government-linked organisations.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales & Revenue Ownership: Own the Singapore sales strategy, annual bookings, revenue, and gross margin targets; maintain a healthy, accurately forecasted pipeline.
• Enterprise New Business: Personally originate and lead strategic pursuits with large enterprises, including application development and modernization, cloud, data & AI, managed services, and IT outsourcing.
• Complex Deal Leadership: Drive opportunities end-to-end, from qualification and solution shaping through pricing, negotiation, contract signature, and delivery handover.
• C-Level Engagement: Build trusted relationships with CIOs, CTOs, business executives, and procurement leaders at target accounts.
• Government & Large-Account Strategy: Build CMC’s position with government agencies, statutory boards, government-linked companies (GLCs), and large corporate groups, including through prime contractors, system integrators, and consortium partners; ensure bids meet public-sector procurement, compliance, and security requirements.
• Account Expansion: Grow existing strategic accounts while opening new enterprise logos and cross-selling CMC’s wider engineering and digital capabilities.
• Team & Delivery Alignment: Lead sales and account teams and partner with presales, overseas delivery, and offshore delivery leaders to shape competitive, profitable, deliverable proposals.

Requirements

• 10+ years in IT Services, technology consulting, or enterprise technology sales, including 5+ years in senior sales leadership.
• Strong track record selling enterprise IT services in Singapore; experience with regional or multinational accounts is highly desirable.
• Proven record of winning business with government agencies, GLCs, or large corporate groups, whether directly or through third parties with government ties (e.g., prime contractors, system integrators, consortium partners).
• IT Outsourcing (ITO), managed services, application development, or multi-year services contract experience is a strong advantage.
• Able to evidence annual quota and achievement, annual contract bookings, number of new logos and contracts won, TCV/ACV, largest personally won deal, and revenue/gross margin contribution.
• Demonstrated ability to personally originate and close complex, high-value deals and influence C-level and senior government stakeholders.
• Strong commercial skills in deal structuring, pricing, negotiation, forecasting, and sales leadership.
• Experience coordinating Singapore-based client engagement with offshore delivery teams is preferred.
• Fluent English is required; Mandarin is a plus for engaging Chinese-speaking decision-makers and regional accounts.

Performance Expectations

Accountable for annual bookings, revenue and gross margin, new enterprise logos, qualified pipeline coverage, forecast accuracy, and contract quality.

This is a high-impact leadership role with direct ownership of business growth and market expansion. As an initial screening benchmark, consider candidates who have owned US$5-10M in annual bookings and personally won a US$2-5M+ TCV deal, with at least three contracts of US$1M+ TCV closed in a single year, subject to the approved business plan and the candidate's market segment.

Candidates must distinguish personal contribution from team or portfolio results.

Preferred Background

Experience with established IT Services or consulting firms such as NCS, FPT, TCS, Accenture, Cognizant, HCLTech, Infosys, or comparable providers is preferred.
