Private Banking Operations, Deputy Team Lead – Regional Bank

A regional private bank is looking for an experienced Private Banking Operations professional to lead and oversee daily operational activities across a broad range of wealth management products. The role requires strong hands-on leadership to provide guidance and direction to the team while ensuring smooth operations and effective operational controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily Private Banking Operations activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
• Provide hands-on leadership and guidance to the operations team, ensuring effective management of daily workflows and operational issues.
• Handle end-to-end investment processing, including trade booking, confirmation, settlement, reconciliation and exception handling across wealth management products.
• Perform reconciliations and controls, including cash, positions and transaction monitoring, and investigate and resolve discrepancies and breaks.
• Process deposits, remittances and asset transfers.
• Handle payment processing activities in SWIFT Alliance, including the release of SWIFT payments.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce operational risks.
• Support ad hoc projects, reporting and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree with min 8 years of relevant banking experiences in private banking or wealth management operations.
• Strong knowledge of investment products, including bonds, equities, mutual funds, structured products (DCIs/FCNs), structured deposits and private equity funds.
• Prior team leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to provide hands-on guidance and direction.
