Know Your Customer / AML Analyst — Crypto

Recruit123 is partnering an organization to hire KYC / AML Analysts for upcoming opportunities with licensed and growth-stage digital asset platforms, exchanges, and Web3 fintechs in Singapore. In this role, you will be on the front lines of identity verification, institutional and retail onboarding, enhanced due diligence, and ongoing risk monitoring in accordance with Singapore regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute end-to-end Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews for retail, high-net-worth individual (HNWI), and corporate crypto accounts.

• Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on complex corporate ownership structures, ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs), and politically exposed persons (PEPs).

• Review and verify Source of Wealth (SoW) and Source of Funds (SoF) documentation, including crypto asset verification and fiat audit trails.

• Perform watchlist screening against sanctions, PEP databases, and adverse media, investigating potential matches and logging audit-ready rationale.

• Partner with the transaction monitoring and investigations team to detect anomalous deposit/withdrawal activity and trigger necessary account reviews.

• Assist in Travel Rule compliance checks and verify counterparty virtual asset service provider (VASP) risk profiles.

• Escalate suspicious customer behavior, document discrepancies, and red flags for potential Suspicious Transaction Report (STR) filings.

• Maintain strict adherence to internal compliance policies and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) Notice PSN02 under the Payment Services Act.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Banking, Finance, Business, Law, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 2 to 4 years of operational KYC/CDD and AML experience within a crypto exchange, digital payment service provider, neo-bank, or traditional financial institution.

• Familiarity with automated identity verification tools (e.g., Jumio, Sumsub, Onfido, Veriff) and screening databases (e.g., World-Check, Dow Jones, ComplyAdvantage).

• Basic understanding of blockchain mechanics, wallet structures, and on-chain analytics tools (e.g., Chainalysis, Elliptic) is highly advantageous.

• Solid understanding of Singapore MAS AML/CFT regulatory requirements (Notice PSN02) and FATF Travel Rule guidelines.

• High attention to detail, strong analytical judgment, and effective written communication skills.

• Relevant industry certifications are an asset (e.g., ACAMS CAMS, ICA, or ACAM Crypto AML).
