Shipping Assistant

• Arrange bookings with forwarders or carriers for cargo to be transported via sea & air.
• Coordinate closely with various internal departments, warehouse team to ensure smooth cargo flow and timely shipments.
• Prepare all relevant documentation for shipments, including customs documents, letters of credit, and other necessary paperwork.
• Arrange timely collection or dispatch according to customer requests.
• Monitor the progress of all shipments in real-time, providing regular updates to internally & customer. Address any delays or issues promptly and take corrective actions and pre-alerts to customers.
• Ensure timely billing and accuracy of the invoices.
• Ensure timely submission and proper filing of relevant documents.
• Attend and responds on customer’s inquiry.
• Maintain open and effective communication with customers regarding shipment status, delays, and any relevant updates. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.

Job Requirements:

• At least 1 to 2 Year of working experience in the related field or no experience (in-house training will be provided).
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Possesses knowledge of L/C documentation, Incoterms, Singapore shipping procedures, and has experience in freight forwarding.
• Responsible and committed team player.
• Motivated individual and possesses good planning and follow-up skills.
• Able to handle high volume of workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience with SAP is preferred.
• Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel).
• Priority will be given to candidates available on short notice.
